As I was walking down the street one day

Un día me encontraba caminando por la calle
A man came up to me and asked me what the time was that was on my watch, yeah

Un hombre se me acerco y me pregunto que hora tenia en mi reloj, sí
And I said

Y le dije

(No sé) ¿Alguien podría decirme realmente que hora es?
(Care) Does anybody really care?...

(Es importante) ¿A alguien realmente le importa?

(About time) If so, I can't imagine why

(El tiempo) si es así, puedo imaginarme el porqué

Tenemos tiempo suficiente para llorar
And I was walking down the street one day

A pretty lady looked at me and said her diamond watch had
stopped cold dead

Una hermosa dama me miro y dijo que su reloj de diamantes había dejado por completo de funcionar

Y le conteste = respondí

(About time) If so, I can't imagine why

(Las personas corrían hacia todas partes sin la certeza de saber a donde ir)
Being pushed and shoved by people trying to beat the clock

Siendo empujados (con manos y hombros) por personas intentando ganarle al reloj 

= al tiempo

(Don´t know where I am. Can´t see past the next step)

(No sé donde me encuentro.

No puedo ver más allá de mis pies)
